  • I love this! I’m not the most artistic person but this was a fun way to sketch and paint some really adorable pictures of nature. I was a little nervous at first but the video instructions were very helpful. Once I got started, it was relaxing and fun. I ended up framing my final picture because I love it! The supplies are nice quality, too. This was great and I’m definitely excited to try the next one.

  • Fear and anxiety be gone. My previous tries at watercolor have been miserable.Sad even. Now I have these fancy paints fancy watercolor paper and the easy lessons and I am painting! Still need more practice but coming along. finally!The ink at the end hides my "mistakes".Added bonus:Stephanie is very calm and reassuring. This helps me get much needed relaxation. I’m learning about nature and painting. Who would have thought I would learn about those at the same time. Amazing.

  • My 12 years old daughter and I absolutely love the concept. The quality of the products is great. I can't remember if Cratejoy offered the option to purchase the additional accessories with your monthly box purchase. If so, I would advise to do it but it's definitely not necessary since most of the material is included in the box except for a paint brush, a palette and a fine tip marker. The paintings are beautiful and easy to recreate (I have no talent for art) and also educational for my daughter. It also gives you the confidence and ideas to try sketching on your own. A wonderful gift.

  • I was excited to get my first box and was thrilled to see all the items that are included. This is well thought out to give the new artist all that is needed to begin learning. In our technology driven world, it is energizing to learn a skill that can go anywhere with just a writing tool and paper. The video along with the written instructions are important to have as everyone has different ways of learning. And both greatly improve a person's insight into the how and why of art. This crate also combines not just art but the ability to learn about each plant and animal that are involved each month. This is a well rounded way to learn about the world we live in.

  • My daughters and I (ages 8, 6, & 4) LOVE Nature Sketch Crate! I do the tracings for our younger two, but our oldest daughter competes each project independently from start to finish. And then asks for the next crate right away! Every month, I am blown away by the quality of each crate. The supplies (paints, paper) are beautiful. The fine attention to detail in the instructions and the animal/plant fact sheets is exquisite. I (as well as our daughters) learn while having fun and becoming artists. Would recommend NSC to anyone and everyone!

  • Painting like this is a joy! No stress, clear directions, and engaging subjects. After I painted the California poppy, I had enough confidence to sketch and paint a hibiscus blossom on my own which turned out great. I'm looking forward to the upcoming lessons.
